IP44
The unusual story of IP44.DE IP44.DE is a young and progressive, but at the same time conservative company. IP44 is conservative regarding quality standards and production details. Its technologies, on the other hand, are resolutely progressive. It all started with a clear and obvious question: why shouldn't outdoor lighting fixtures be at least as aesthetically pleasing as the ones we love so much inside our buildings? This question led to the design of their very first outdoor lighting fixture, more than 30 years ago. Many building owners, planners and architects appreciated their response, so countless other fixtures followed, along with materials, technologies, trials and errors, and successes. An experimental attempt turned into a real company: IP44.DE, founded and since managed by Bernd Schmalhorst. What has remained unchanged is their focus on superior design and their fundamental belief that every place deserves great light.
