Designed for Artemide, the Needoo project is not only an outdoor lighting system but also an environmentally friendly project.
Made of wood-concrete moulded from 100% natural materials, it houses nests adapted to different bird species.
Needoo is a response to the lack of nesting spaces, one of the causes of biodiversity loss.
Because it is essential for birds to be able to orient themselves using the night sky with the stars and the moon as reference points, the luminous head - practical for a pedestrian path - is located under the nest and a disc that screens the light.
A benevolent system imagined by Davide Oppizzi of Geneva and designed to ensure that man and nature cohabit harmoniously.
